Man of the Match
Sediqullah Atal
Commentry
That is all from this game. A one-sided affair. That means the last ODI is a must win for Zimbabwe. Join us on the 21st of this month at 7.30 am GMT and earlier for the build up for all the action. Till then, it's goodbye and cheers!
Hashmatullah Shahidi says he is impressed with the openers. Feels the wicket was tricky and was happy with the overall score. Tells their team performance is going up, individuals are stepping up and it's good for the team looking for the future. Hopes under his captaincy, Afghanistan earn more and more milestones.
Sediqullah Atal is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD. He says he is happy with the team's performance. Tells the wicket was not easy to bat but he and Malik spoke about how to play. Mentions he took his time to asses the conditions and was slightly nervous during his century.
Craig Ervine says the pitch played better than the previous game. Tells they need to go to the drawing board and think about it before the next game. Shares Newman Nyamhuri bowled well, he was impressive. On Tinotenda Maposa, he might be out of the next game.
...Presentation...
Afghanistan couldn't have asked for a better performance. Reminder, they didn't even use Rashid Khan and this is the score we are reading. Hashmatullah Shahidi must be a happy man seeing them step up and not rely on the magician. All of them are in red hot form. Naveed Zadran came in for Naveen-ul-Haq and he too scalped three wickets and so did AM Ghazanfar. Earlier, it was Sediqullah Atal's maiden ton that took the headlines. His partnership along with Abdul Malik set the tone as Afghanistan put on a magnificent score. Eventually, Zimbabwe failed to even cross half of it.
Afghanistan register their biggest win in terms of margin. If you thought that 10 over show from Zimbabwe in the first game was horrible, this was worse. Really unacceptable from Zimbabwe who were just not able to play the Afghan seamers. Fazalhaq Farooqi and Azmatullah Omarzai up front with the new ball. Just the way it happened in the first game, Most of the Zimbabwe batters edged it to slips. Once Sean Williams fell, Zimbabwe were in trouble despite having Raza out there in the middle but he was stranded on the other side watching the horror show.

AM Ghazanfar 9/3(3.5)
OUT! STUMPED! Flat and around off, it lands and spins away. Maposa prods to defend but misses. The keeper clips the bails off. Remember, Tinotenda Maposa left the field due to an injury! The replay shows Maposa had his back foot in the air, inches up and the third umpire deems it is OUT! That is it! Afghanistan win!

Slants in a length ball on the pads. Maposa fails to flick and gets hit on the pads. Somehow survives.
Tinotenda Maposa to face the hat trick delivery.
OUT! LBW! Superb stuff from Zadran! Serves a fullish length delivery on middle, Trevor Gwandu fails to get his bat down in time and gets pinged on the pads. An appeal for LBW and up goes the finger. Dead in front.
