That is it from this game! But hold on, do not go anywhere as the next game will begin shortly where Pakistan is set to face Namibia. That game will begin at 6 pm local (2 pm GMT). Switch tabs and we hope to see you there!
Temba Bavuma, the skipper of South Africa, says that it was a good day for them. Mentions that Rabada and Norje exploited the conditions well. Tells that they are blessed to have bowlers like them in the team. Adds that they wanted to get to the target early but the ball was still nipping around when he went in. Informs that they have a big game coming up against England and they need to play their best cricket.
Mahmudullah, the skipper of Bangladesh, says the wicket was pretty good to bowl on but it was poor batting from them. Adds that Taskin Ahmed has been bowling really well for them and they wanted to give more chances to him. Tells that they are disappointed as they were close to winning two games but unfortunately were not able to do so.
Kagiso Rabada is the Player of the Match. He says that the wicket favoured the seamers and he is glad that it was his day. Adds that they train hard and it finally paid off. Tells that it was not a surprise that the ball moved so much as it did help the bowlers in the Indian T20 league as well. Says that he is happy for Anrich Nortje and he feels good to be bowling alongside him.
Presentation time...
Earlier in the day, after electing to bowl, brilliant performances from Nortje and Rabada restricted Bangladesh to a very low score. South Africa too had problems against the new ball as they lost three at the start but they ended up chasing it quiet easily.
Bangladesh needed a miracle to defend this. They did start off well by dismissing the top order cheaply but one partnership is all that South Africa needed and they got that as Bavuma and Rassie constructed a stand close to victory which took them to the brink of victory. Rassie fell but Miller and Bavuma ensured there were no more wickets to fall and took their side over the line.
Bangladesh can be happy with the fact that they did not make run scoring very easy. Especially Taskin and Shoriful who were really good with the new ball but they needed to keep picking up wickets and once the ball got old, their bowlers got less effective. To be honest, they just did not have enough runs on the board.
Bangladesh needed a miracle to defend this. They did start off well by dismissing the top order cheaply but one partnership is all that South Africa needed and they got that as Bavuma and Rassie constructed a 50-plus stand. The two started off slowly but scored freely as the innings progressed and took their side over the line.

OUT! TAKEN! A stunner from Shoriful Islam running backwards from mid on! Loopy ball, on middle. Rassie van der Dussen uses his feet again and takes the aerial route. He wanted to finish the game but perishes. Skies it towards long on. Shoriful Islam runs back and grabs a blinder. Kept his eyes under the ball right till the end and pouches it in the end.
