Stay tuned for the presentation...
Earlier in the innings, we saw a strong opening stand by Rohan Mustafa and Alex Hales but after that, it was the Capitals who dominated with the ball in the middle overs. The middle batting order of Desert Vipers failed to put runs on the board barring Adam Hose who powered the innings towards the end. Apart from Roelof, every bowler from the Capitals ended up with one wicket each.
The bowling from the Desert Vipers was good to start with but they lost their way in the middle and there was no coming back. Apart from Wanindu Hasaranga no bowler could trap the batters of Dubai Capitals at bay. Wanindu Hasaranga and Shaheen Afridi managed a couple each but Shaheen Afridi was way too expensive as he gave away 47 in his 4 overs. Mohammad Amir and Rohan Mustafa took a wicket each as well.
Chasing down a decent total, the Dubai Capitals started sluggishly and lost David Warner and Rahmanullah Gurbaz cheaply. Ben Dunk was in good nick and he continued his good work and managed a healthy run rate for the side and never let the score-board pressure creep up. Wickets kept tumbling in the middle phase but everybody chipped in with a few and that eventually helped the side get over the line in this one. Ben Dunk top scored with 59 runs. Rovman Powell too played a good hand of 40 while Sikandar Raza and Jason Holder managed good cameos in mid 20s.
The thrill continues with the ILT20 as Dubai Capitals wins this off he last delivery. The have defeated Desert Vipers by 4 wickets.

Full toss in middle, Jason Holder flicks it straight to Wanindu Hasaranga at mid on and sets off for the winning run. Wanindu Hasaranga collects it and sighs at the stumps on the non-striking end but misses. Had he hit the stumps, it would have been curtains for Jason Holder.

The scores are level. Yorker on off, Rovman Powell thumps it back towards the bowler and steals a single. Matheesha Pathirana did collect this but the antique of diving on the follow-through took the sting out of a run-out opportunity. 1 needed off the last delivery.

Are we in for something special here? Matheesha Pathirana lands a dot. Wide yorker outside off, Rovman Powell leaves it asking for a wide but the umpire calls it a fair one.
