Do join us for the same. Till then, take care and goodbye!
Nathan Ellis wins the Man of the Match Award for his exceptional spell with the ball.
Hurricanes had a decent start as well and they capitalized it by scalping the two big pillars of the Stars, Stoinis and Maxwell. They lost their momentum in the middle but D'Arcy Short came back to get the wicket of Clarke. They did really well to control the Power Surge with the presence of Andre Russell in the middle. Nathan Ellis got his wicket and that was a match for the Hurricanes. All the pacers had a good day with Riley Meredith and Thomas Rogers sharing three wickets each.
Melbourne Stars started well but lost Stoinis and Maxwell in no time. It looked like a long day for them but Clarke did really well to handle the situation and he brought up his fifty in the process as well. He perished on its way and the chase was in the hands of Russell. The hopes were high but Russell failed to give any present to Stars. Hilton Cartwright tried his best but it was a big chase for him to fight alone. In the end, they failed to chase down the target even though it was a batting-friendly pitch.
Christmas comes early for Hobart Hurricanes as they take all the four points home. A good collective performance from them and they did really well against a star-studded line-up. Hurricanes wrapped up the Stars with ease.
