So, the Women’s T20 League have the final three. Delhi will play the finals while Mumbai for third successive season will play the Eliminator. They’ll face Gujarat on the 13th of this month at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT) as usual join us earlier for the build up. Till then, goodbye and cheers!
Sneh Rana is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. She says her shoulder is alright. Tells the bowlers had to adjust the length as the ball was coming nicely onto the bat. Mentions Smriti Mandhana used her bowlers pretty well throughout the innings. Feels she tries to give her inputs whenever necessary. Ends by helping the management for picking her up in the team.
Smriti Mandhana, the skipper of Bengaluru says they started on a high and finished on a high. Tells they lost five or six playing XI players which make a lot of difference. Shares Natalie Sciver-Brunt Played really well, she didn't allow them to use a new bowler. Mentions she was being in touch but not able to score this season which was eating her up. Ends by appreciating the support the teams get.
...Presentation...
Richa Ghosh is in for a chat. She says that this was a good season for her, as she did well with the bat. Adds that she has been working on her batting and she bats according to her style. Says that she feels good to contribute to the team. Ends by saying that she will keep on improving.
Harmanpreet Kaur, the skipper of Mumbai, says that the last two overs they bowled were a bit expensive and that cost them. Adds that they batted well but fell short. She says that the outfield is quick and fielding plays an important role here. Ends by saying that they'll give their best and try to win the eliminator.
Mumbai knew they have to bring out their A game to get over the victory line. Reminder they were playing back to back games in 24 hours so it wasn't going to be easy for them. It came down once again on Natalie Sciver-Brunt amd Harmanpreet Kaur to get the score board ticking. The skipper fell but Natalie Sciver-Brunt got some noise back in the stadium by scoring a fifty. She fell at the wrong time and after that, the victory was hard to grab by. Sajana played a late cameo but it needed something special to score four sixes in a row.
It was some sort of a complete performance from Bengaluru. They had nothing but to play for pride and they were superb in all three departments. They were asked to bat first and the openers set the tone right from the start. Sabbhineni Meghana played a small little cameo but Smriti Mandhana finally notched some runs with the bat after a long while. A fifty from her along with Perry's excellent knock in the middle phase set the tone for a big finish. Ghosh and Georgia Wareham went berserk in the fag end to take the score close to 200.
Well, it got closer than we thought! The defending champions bow out of the tournament with a win. A win after five games! Mumbai on the other hand had the chance to play the finals but a loss here means they will play the Eliminator against Gujarat.

Fuller ball on middle. Parunika Sisodia pushes it to mid off. Bengaluru win by 11 runs.
OUT! GONE! Game over then. Shorter and on leg! Sajana looks to work on the leg side but top edges it to short fine leg where Sabbhineni Meghana holds onto it.

SIX! When was the last time you saw Perry under pressure? A good length ball outside off, nothing wrong with the delivery but Sajana once again hangs back and whacks it over mid-wicket for a six. 12 needed now.

SIX! Hang on, Folks! Very full and on middle, already two bumpers so Sajana anticipated a fuller delivery, thumps this down to long off for a biggie.
