So, Pakistan have drawn the first blood here and they would be a confident unit going into the next match which would be played tomorrow at the same venue. West Indies will look to bounce back and make it 1-1. Do join us for that game. Till then, Good bye and take care!
Kieron Pollard says that the bowlers pulled things back nicely in the last ten overs and the pitch didn't change much in the second innings. The major issue was with all those dot balls in the middle overs, which they will try to improve in the next match and they do away some positive from this game as well.
MOM Mohammed Hafeez says that they put up a good score on the board and the bowlers executed their plans brilliantly. The left-handed batsmen all struggled against him and concludes by praising the two quicks, Hasan Ali and Shaheen Afridi for holding their nerve at the death.
Babar Azam says that they were 10-15 runs short but the bowlers did a fantastic job. Credits Hafeez for using his experience and the way that he bowled in the Powerplay.
Pakistan bowled really well and they had clear plans. Mohammad Hafeez was the star performer as he gave away just 6 runs from 4 overs and that made the difference. All the other bowlers chipped in and helped in maintaining the pressure. Babar Azam and Rizwan had sent the tone early on but Pakistan could not finish strongly, handing the advantage to West Indies at the break, but it didn't matter in the end as it was a magnificent bowling performance from them.
Nicholas Pooran would be very disappointed as he played his heart out but West Indies just fell short by 7 runs in the end. He played an outstanding knock and gave them a chance but it proved to be too many runs there. West Indies did not get the kind of start that they were hoping for and they had to play a catch up game in the end. Opener Fletcher got out in the first over. And after that, they never really got going and were behind the asking rate. Pollard too, was not at his best as he failed too time the ball. In the end, those 47 dot balls cost them the match!

SIX! It's all over, Pakistan have won! Length ball outside off, Pooran carves it over the point boundary for a maximum but it's all in vain, he must be gutted as he played a truly special knock. PAKISTAN WIN BY 7 RUNS!

FOUR! Fired in full on leg stump, this time Pooran does manage to find the gap wide of long on but it's a little too late.

Action replay of the previous delivery and now West Indies can't win without extras.

Full around off at 143 kph, hit down to long off and they don't run. 3 sixes needed off the last 3 deliveries.
Who will come in next? Jason Holder is the new man in.

OUT! CAUGHT! Very full on off, Pollard looks to loft it over mid-wicket but gets a high top-edge to deep cover who takes a simple catch. Was it the right decision to take the single off the last ball of the previous over? They did cross which means Pooran will bhe on strike.

Full and straight at 145 kph, Pollard whips it towards deep mid-wicket for a couple.
Who will bowl the final over? Shaheen Afridi it is!

Length ball and Pollard swings hard at it, only manages to bottom edge it onto the deck towards mid on for a single. 20 required off the final 6 deliveries!

Very nicely done by Ali, change of pace and change of length. Pollard goes through his pull way too early and gets hit on the shoulder. A golden dot at this stage.

This time Ali does get the yorker in, played to long on for a run.

SIX! THUMPED! FIFTY for Nicholas Pooran! Ali misses the yorker and pays the price, Pooran just goes hard at it and muscles it straight over the bowler's head for back-to-back maximums.
