Done and dusted with this game. Adelaide Strikers take a big jump on the table and move to the number two spot. On Friday, Melbourne Stars will be facing Sydney Thunder at the MCG. The first ball will be at 7.15 pm local (8.15 am GMT) but you can join us in advance for the build-up. Cheers!
Wes Agar is given the Man of the Match award! Says that they knew they are bowling really well and they discussed using change-ups and it worked out. Adds that it's a matter of just putting the pressure and they have a very strong bowling attack. Tells us that they were confident about defending the total and it was all about maintaining the energy. Shares that he has a wealth of experience around him with Peter Siddle in the mix and he doesn't try to do too much. Further says that he backs his skills and keeps things simple. Appreciates Rashid Khan and feels that having a bowler like him helps them to pump the required rate.
Earlier in the match, Adelaide Strikers had slipped while batting as they managed to score just 63 runs in the last 9 overs and got bundled out. They wasted 6 deliveries during their batting innings but their bowlers made sure that they come out trumps from this game.
Melbourne Renegades had this match in control after bouncing back with the ball in the second half of the game. They restricted Adelaide Strikers to a par score but never got going in the chase. Apart from Sam Harper, there was no intent or rhythm in their batting as the wickets continued to tumble. Adelaide Strikers were brilliant with their accurate bowling and their trump card, Rashid Khan, was once again the mainstay. His four overs allowed the Strikers to build immense scoreboard pressure and the rest of the bowlers benefitted from it. Wes Agar also was impressive and pocketed three wickets and all in all, Adelaide Strikers will be very content with how things panned out in the second innings.
Adelaide Strikers have avenged their loss and grabbed their first win of the season. A very disciplined bowling show from them and they will be delighted to win the reverse fixture.

OUT! CAUGHT! It is Melbourne Renegades' skipper who walks back to the hut now! Peter Siddle serves a full toss, on the leg stump line. Kane Richardson advances down the track and looks to heave it away but he gets it away from the splice of his bat and the ball goes straight to George Garton at mid off who takes a sitter.
