Right then, things seem to be getting tighter and tighter with every game in The Women's Hundred competition, 2024 and with just four more group stage games left, there are still 5 teams who have a chance of making it through to the top three. Next up, Northern Superchargers Women take on London Spirit Women in the 29th Match at Headingley in Leeds. That match will be played on Tuesday, 13 August and will begin at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT) but you can join us a lot sooner for the build-up. For now, you can switch tabs and catch our coverage of the Men's Hundred competition. Cheers!
Natalie Sciver-Brunt wins the Hero of the Match award. She says they were happy with the score, they knew birmingham will build a partnership but they were calm with the ball throughout the innings. Tells in terms of the chase, they were ahead of the game but they had a long tail and she was calm. Mentions a lot of close games, the final game is must win and hopes they'll make the top three of the points table.
The Presentation ceremony...
Earlier in the game, Ellyse Perry chose to bat first on a fresh pitch and it just wasn't the right decision as no one quite knew how the pitch would play and the top order of Birmingham Phoenix Women completely crumbled. They were 9/3 and should have been 20/4 but Richa Ghosh was let off the hook by Kirstie Gordon which resulted in a 95-run stand between Ghosh and Sterre Kalis getting the Phoenix back into the contest. Trent Rockets Women came back strongly in the death phase and managed to keep the opposition down to just 112 runs. In reply, the Rockets Women huffed and puffed and eventually managed to chase down 113 runs and might have been slightly aided by a dodgy no ball call for height right towards the end.
Birmingham Phoenix Women will finish the campaign with nothing but they really made a match out of this one. They got a couple of early wickets after Ellyse Perry was put away in that first set of five and had some momentum. But, they let it slip after the Powerplay and didn't have many answers for Natalie Sciver-Brunt. A couple of bowlers fought back well and Emily Arlott in particular bowled a stellar spell and somehow, they found themselves with half a chance of winning the game but it just wasn't enough.
Needing 113 for the win, Trent Rockets Women didn't exactly get off to a flier in the Powerplay and were 23 for 2 in the first 25 balls. However, skipper Natalie Sciver-Brunt yet again stepped up for her side and counter-attacked really well. Grace Scrivens hung out for a bit but simply couldn't get going and eventually fell. Nat kept finding the fence and then Ashleigh Gardner came in and provided ample support. However, once Natalie fell, the Rockets put themselves under pressure and stuttered along before eventually managing to get the win with just 3 balls remaining.
TRENT ROCKETS WOMEN LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY! Heartbreak on the other side as it is the end of the dream for Birmingham Phoenix Women and they are knocked out of the playoffs race with a game in hand and even if they win that final game, it won't matter. Trent Rockets Women though will need to win their final game to boost their hopes of making the top three but will be pleased to get over the line in this game.

FOUR! That's it! What a way to finish the inning under pressure and Josie Groves does it for the team! Katie Levick comes over the wicket and bowls it on a good length just outside off, angling it in. Josie Groves shuffles across the stump, gets low and sweeps it beautifully past the fine leg fielder towards deep fine leg fence for four runs. Those four runs from Josie Groves helped her team to beat Birmingham Women by 3 wickets

Rigth into the blackhole, on middle. Katie George closes her willow early and ends up flicking the ball to her boots and the ball rolls towards the front of backward point. But the batters are quick to take a single. Birmingham Phoenix Women are behind the cut off time and will have to bring an extra fielder inside the ring.

NO BALL! Oh, my world! Emily Arlott comes over the wicket and bowls a high full toss on middle. Josie Groves walks down the track and tries her best to pull it over the mid-wicket region but fails to connect it well. The ball loops towards the mid-wicket region where the fielder jumps and catches the ball. But the third Umpire has a check on the big screen and it is called a no ball for height.
Emily Arlott to bowl now. A lot of field changes happening. 9 runs needed in 10 balls.
