...Presentation time...
Wanindu Hasaranga is the Player of the Match. He says he is happy as he got to his 50th wicket. Adds the wicket was really good while they were batting and it was gripping while they were bowling. Shares he was just trying to bowl wicket-to-wicket. Reckons they had a really good score on this type of wicket, the batters played really well to take over 350.
This score was always going to be a huge task for United Arab Emirates and they were tested dearly by the Lankans. Muhammad Waseem pumped UAE to a positive start but they kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. No one stamped their authority in the middle. Ali Naseer looked dangerous but not for long as he too perished. Once Rameez Shahzad got out, it was all over for United Arab Emirates. However, they were coming up against some ace bowling, primarily of Wanindu Hasaranga who once saw some turn on this pitch, was just unstoppable.
A bowling masterclass from the magician himself. He can deliver some incredible spells just like he has delivered here. What a performance from Wanindu Hasaranga! Sri Lanka were coming into this game as the favourites. They batted well first of all as their top five batters made a massive impression. Fiftties from Pathum Nissanka and Dimuth Karunaratne and then the knocks from Kusal Mendis and Sadeera Samarawickrama. Sri Lanka were looking for a score around 300 but the knock from Charith Asalanka helped them go over 350.
