Charith Asalanka says they had enough runs on the board but they gave a lot of pace initially with the ball. Tells Dhananjaya de Silva and Fabian Allen bowled well. Credits the way Niroshan Dickwella and Hales played.
Alex Hales wins the Player of the Match award. He says the pitch was slower than he plays in the UK but it was nice to cash in the middle overs. Tells Niroshan Dickwella did his job easier earlier when he was not able to find the momentum.

Jaffna Kings were 10-15 runs short of the total. However, they were in the game right till the end. Despite a bad start, Jaffna Kings took wickets at regular intervals to keep the hopes alive but a couple of overs went for plenty of runs. Asitha Fernando gave 19 runs in the 18th over. That last ball six on Jason Behrendorff's penultimate over and three dropped catches were the highlights for Jaffna Kings. They could have used more slower balls like Galle Marvels did but it was Marvels moment to get off the mark in some fashion.
Chasing such a huge target, Niroshan Dickwella and Alex Hales laid the foundation on top. The former went all guns blazing in the Powerplay, Hales was playing the second fiddle at that moment but when Dickwella fell, Hales took over the baton and scored a flurry of boundaries to get to his fifty. Both the openers fell but Galle Marvels were still in comfortable position with plenty of batting left. Bhanuka Rajapaksa fell at the wrong time but Janith Liyanage hung in there till the last over. There was a nervy moment when he was dismissed but Sahan Arachchige played a delightful scoop of the last delivery to chase it down.
What a game! Galle Marvels have chased their highest total in history of the LPL! Sahan Arachchige, just facing the second delivery scoops one down to fine leg to win the game. Just the second game in the LPL and we have seen two huge targets chased down.
