Shreyas Iyer is presented the trophy, he takes a few pictures and then walks towards his team to celebrate with them! That's it then from this tournament! It is Mumbai who end up as champions. We hope you enjoyed the coverage. Until next time, goodbye and take care!
Shreyas Iyer says there were two right handers and hence, they started with spin. Adds Atharva Ankolekar set the tone with the ball and the others did well. Mentions Atharva Ankolekar and Suryansh Shedge batted brilliantly and played with intent. Mentions they always have a positive mind set and they try and stay in the moment and look to make most of it.
Ajinkya Rahane, PLAYER OF THE SERIES, says the bowled really well, they kept them down to a chasable score. Credits Suryansh Shedge for the way he has played. Ends by thanking the fans.
Suryansh Shedge, MAN OF THE MATCH, adds he knew finishing was going to be his role and he practices for it. Mentions he's a very competitive person and he's very happy when he wins.
Rajat Patidar says this is not the result they wanted but he's proud of how they played. Admits they were 20 to 25 runs short. Adds they are a young side and will learn. Ends by thanking the crowd for their support.
Earlier in the game, Rajat batted brilliantly to take his side close to 180! For most part, it never seemed like they would get there but it was his innings which got them to a competitive score. However, a combined batting effort from the Mumbai batting line-up saw them score those runs quite easily in the end.
MP bowled well in patches! Tripuresh Singh eas brilliant at the start and Kumar Kartikeya was also good. However, the rest weren't that consistent. Also, that dropped catch of Rahane did cost them. Had that been taken, things could have been different. However, one can say MP were just beaten by a better side.
Before that, Mumbai managed to stitch small partnerships which always kept them ahead in the game. The innings from Yadav was crucial and Rahane also played his part. When the two were batting, it looked like they would cruise home. However, one Yadav fell, MP might have thought they had a chance but the lower order rose to the occasion and got their side over the line.
Junilation in the Mumbai camp! They are the champions and well deserved champions. Top effort from Atharva Ankolekar and Suryansh Shedge. They walked in when there was massive pressure on them but they held their nerve, backed their capabilities and in the end, helped their side get over the line quite fomfortably.
