169/1(33.1ov)
Sri Lanka beat Zimbabwe by 9 wickets
That is it from this game then! Action from the Qualifiers continues on Monday. The action begins at 1230 IST (0700 GMT). The build-up begins a lot earlier. Till then, take care and goodbye!
Maheesh Theekshana IS THE MAN OF THE MATCH!
Zimbabwe on the other hand, were under par in this game. They have completely been outplayed. First, their batters could not tackle the pace and the spin from the Lankans and then their bowlers did not cause a lot of trouble to the Lankan batters. Yes, they did not have enough runs on the board but they would have loved to taken a couple of more wickets.
Quite a thumping win for the Lankans! This was never in doubt after their excellent bowling performance. They kept Zimbabwe down to a low score and in reply, their openers put on a really good stand which more or less sealed the deal. Mendis then came in and along with Pathum Nissanka ensured it was the two of them who would take their side home. Pathum Nissanka was the star with a ton.
